This is the most important step. Before anything else, run this command in Claude Code:
Claude will either auto-draft a context file from your codebase or walk you through it conversationally. It builds a file at .agents/product-marketing-context.md covering 12 sections:
- Product overview — one-liner, category, business model
- Target audience — company type, decision-maker roles, jobs to be done
- Personas — what each buying role cares about
- Problems and pain points — core challenge, why existing solutions fall short
- Competitive landscape — direct, secondary, and indirect competitors
- Differentiation — why customers choose you
- Objections and anti-personas — top 3 objections, who is not a good fit
- Switching dynamics — JTBD Four Forces
- Customer language — verbatim phrases to use and avoid
- Brand voice — tone, style, personality
- Proof points — metrics, customers, testimonials
- Goals — primary business goal, conversion action, current metrics
