Step 2 — Set up Telegram

Download Telegram

If you don't already have Telegram, download it from your app store.
- iPhone — App Store, search "Telegram"
- Android — Google Play, search "Telegram"
- Desktop — telegram.org/apps
Create an account with your phone number if you don't have one already.

Find BotFather

BotFather is Telegram's official tool for creating bots.
- Open Telegram and tap the search icon
- Search: BotFather
- Select the result with a blue verified tick
⚠ Make sure it has a blue tick. There are fake versions — avoid them.

Create your bot

In the BotFather chat:
- Type /newbot and send it
- When asked for a name, type anything — e.g. LinkedIn Poster
- When asked for a username, it must end in "bot" — e.g. linkedinposter_bot
- If the username is taken, try a variation

Copy your token

BotFather will send you a token after setup. It looks like this:

Copy it — you'll paste it into Make when connecting the Telegram module.
Keep this token private. Anyone with it can control your bot.

Activate your bot

Before Make can receive messages, you need to start the bot first.
- Search your bot's username in Telegram
- Open the chat and tap Start
- Send any message — e.g. "hello"
This activates it so Make can listen for incoming messages.
Step 3 — Import into Make

Go to make.com and create a free account if you don't have one.

Click Create a new scenario, then click the three dots menu and select Import Blueprint.

Upload the JSON file you downloaded above. The scenario will build automatically.

Connect your Telegram bot (paste your token), your Anthropic Claude account, and your LinkedIn account.

Turn the scenario on using the toggle at the bottom left. Done — message your bot and it posts to LinkedIn automatically.
