This Privacy Policy explains how Unbox Digital ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and stores information when you visit unbox.co.nz or submit our online waitlist form. It covers the website only — not the services we provide to clients.

Information you provide directly
When you submit our waitlist application form, we collect:

- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your business name
- Information about your business (team size, monthly revenue, install volume, target revenue, tools used, main bottlenecks)
- Your answers to qualifying questions about your business operations
- Any additional information you choose to share in open text fields
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, certain data may be collected automatically through third-party services we use:
- Facebook Pixel: We use Meta's Facebook Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to understand how visitors interact with our site. This may collect anonymised event data such as page views and form completions. This is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts: We load fonts from Google's servers. Google may log the request (your IP address and browser details) as part of serving the font files. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
2. How we use your information
We use the information you submit through the waitlist form to:
- Assess whether your business is a good fit for our services
- Contact you to discuss your application
- Communicate with you about Unbox Digital's services and availability
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling beyond the initial fit assessment described above.

Form submissions are transmitted securely to our internal systems via an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
We retain your information for as long as is necessary to assess your application and, if applicable, to provide our services to you. If you are not accepted into our programme, we will delete your information within a reasonable period.

- Our internal team members involved in assessing applications and delivering services
- Third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website (such as hosting and form processing providers), under confidentiality obligations

We use session storage (a browser-side temporary storage mechanism) to carry information between pages during your visit — for example, to pre-fill your name and email on the application form if you provided them earlier. This data is cleared automatically when you close your browser tab and is never sent to our servers.
